The calliope crashed to the ground

I'm sure you've seen or read about the calliope that opens the show. I first saw it from behind the stage in Hartford and had no clue what the heck was going on. But it's actually a fun little thing.
I had read that it was a gift to Bruce but recently just heard from someone what the back story is. This little ditty was found among Terry Macgovern's possessions after his passing. On it was a picture of the Tunnel of Love ticket booth and a black hat was hanging off of it. I recall the ticket booth from the TOL tour but I didn't know until after he died, that Terry was the ticket taker every night, donning that black hat. So the calliope is not only a novelty item but it appears it's Bruce nightly tribute to his friend. Pretty cool.
