MSG #1
It might have been a function of the shape of the old place, with that low ceiling, but the sound was pretty damn good last night. Highlights for me were the songs I hadn't heard on this go around yet, Backstreets and The Ties That Bind. The place was packed to the rafters and the crowd was more than happy to be there. A word to the folks going tonight, the bag check process entering the building was a total clusterf*ck. The crowds were back up to the top of the stairs by Penn Station. You may need to forego that last beer if you want to be in your seat on time.

Backstreets you bastid!
you in for #2?
Sweetie, did we both hit "Publish Post" at the exact same time? Peas in a pod, I tell ya. Peas in a pod. :-)
were you sitting anywhere near Bono or Tony Soprano?
No, we were closer to Sonny Bono and Big Pussy(we were in the 300's).
Out for tonight. As I said to Mike earlier, it's a cruel irony that now that we can afford our rock and roll lifestyle we're too old to enjoy it!
I just spoke to Ray who is enroute to NYC on NJ Transit - they are making a day of it. They have GA tickets for tonight and I have passed on all of Gypsymiker and Janine's warnings/advice. Thanks from him.
Expecting colder weather than here in GA, Ray is wearing a long sleeved t-shirt. I can't think of better excuse to pick up a tour t-shirt tonight!
great for him and Russ! I hope they have a blast. but I think that's a foregone conclusion, right?
you can AFFORD it? ha, good for you! I'm still doing something wrong!
This is all because Russ HAD to have a hot dog at Papaya King - he heard how good they were on some TV show.
Papaya King - Overrated. Jersey Dogs are better. The Windmill and Rutt's Hut blow Papaya King AWAY!!!
meet ya at The Hutt any day! But preferably a Sunday so I can have the cream of turkey soup!!!!!!!!!!
You're on!
