Atlanta?

RR, I keep reading that a radio station down there (97.1) is reporting that a Bruce announcement is imminent. Got anything on that? I heard a date of 4/23 and possible on sale this Saturday. No idea what's true or not but keep your ear to the ground and keep us updated.

ok I just was streaming the River 97.1 and they are talking about it. guess I'm late on this news. Date 4/25 (FRIDAY!) and tickets on sale Saturday. hmmmmmmmm

Hmmm..I'll wait for the confirmation before getting too excited. The River is a lousy "Classic rock" station.

****If the Atlanta dates come to pass, you are all invited to our place *** Seriously. We'll put all of you up that wanna make the trek. That includes you Mick! There's direct flights from Dublin to Altanta. April is a lovely time of year here! *****

They are already giving away tickets on the station. I gotta believe this is for real.

I'm out for ticket sales though on Saturday. Who can cover me????

He's a master with the mouse! I've got a wireless network in the house...can get my laptop working with the home PC...we'll keep the boy busy

Ryan can sing "Radio Nowhere" too!

And, if anyone wants to stay until 4/30 I may have an extra ticket for Bon Jovi in ATL that night!

I know, I know, but its that 80s music thing......

these people seem to be the only one's talking about it. http://971theriver.com/

DaveFM just announced it. Friday April 25th - one show only, for now. Tix go on sale this Sat at noon.

NOON?????
Ok well we are heading to Saratoga. If we speed we might be there by noon! LOL

The radio station claims they got the OK from the promoter. Seems totally legit to me, but until it goes on Ticketmaster I'll reserve my excitement.

Ryan does sing Radio Nowhere - at least the chorus - with his Dad on guitar of course. Our show stopper is Promised Land with Ryan on harmonica!

GET EXCITED! I think I even got PETE to commit!

Ray and I both get ticketbastard alerts before sales so we should know soon!

woo hoo! A party in Hot-lanta seems to be coming together! And don't worry Glynis, I swear you won't end up with a bunch of drunk Bruce freaks sleeping all over your floors :)
We can afford hotels ;) Well, at least I keep pretending we can! LOL

No worries. Remember we have the finished basement now - the futon that Pete loves is now in Ryan's playroom!

My head is going to explode - I have The Police in ATL Sat night too!

You are all staying at our place. Unless we run out of room.

Carmen - it's a short drive from Tampa!

Keep your fingers crossed that my nephew's (the one in NJ) First Communion is the weekend before...as Godmother I can't miss it!

oh brother! I went through that this year with 2 Confirmations. Had booked a cruise for Sept. but didn't know the dates in time and we ended up just bailing on the cruise. Turned out we would have been home in time but who knew :(

I'm on the phone with MLB - they're reluctant to schedule the Yankees in Atlanta for that weekend, but I sense that their resolve is weakening...

looks like the Pope will be in the Bronx around that time so being on the road makes perfect sense for them! So Ed, we can count you in??

Hey Ray, Google maps says it is 456 miles from Tampa to Atlanta... totally doable... maybe not exactly a short drive but I'll take it.

Plus,if Pete gets the futon I will be happy with a corner of the basement. I kept the sleeping bag from my Boy Scout days for times like these. And I make mean pancakes too.

We'll supply the batter!

on sale 10am. http://www.brucespringsteen.net/live/index.html

Georgia...Georgia...the whole day through...

After pancakes we can take a ride to Buford to see where I used to work. We might be able to pick up some nice bargains at the Pawn Shop that was near the office...

RR said...

We can do the southern trifecta. Breakfast at Waffle House, a visit to the local Pawn Shop, and then stop at a local stand for some boiled peanuts (or as most of the signs say "P-Nuts") too hard to spell the whole word for most folks down here.

Beleive it or not, downtown Buford is now a trendy restaurant and art district. Damn Yannkees brought down too much class!

CrazyJaney said...

Buford took its cues from EdE - who are we kidding!!!!!!!?

Speaking of breakfast... what was that place we went to last time? Something about a side of love or something like that! LOL

RR said...

Ahh yes. That's the wonderful "Flying Biscuit" - best breakfast in Atlanta. Part owned by one or both of the Indigo Girls.

StayCoolTonightEdE said...

I've never been to the 'Flying Biscuit', but I've done the 'Waffle House'. Best greasy Iced Tea I ever quaffed!! The last time I kibbitzed with Kid Rock I suggested he check it out.

Buford = Trendy?? Ahahahahaha...I HAVE been gone from the Peach State for awhile!

That's "sweet tea" EdE....

Since all the other cool kids are going, I guess Janine and I will make the trip as well. :-)

I knew you'd come around to my way of thinking :)
