Sorry for the late post here folks but honest to the lord above i'm really only comin down from this show .
i do recall if you all check the history books that i am on record as saying how does it get better than Belfast on this tour ??? .
well Bruce must be secretly be reading this blog and decided to prove me wrong .
Man , where does the passion and desire come from to do this night after night after night ?? and i'm talking about Bruce here !!!
Where does he get the energy from never mind the desire . i swear to you by the time the show finished i was ' shagged ' ( little old irish expression for ' quite exhausted ' !! ) .
took my seat seperate to Gerry and Sara with beer ( or 2 ) in hand . excellent , excellen seat ... 2 or 3 rows from side of the stage at an angle in front which allowed me to see the all band members pretty darn good. i was on clarence side this time so that was nice as was roy's side in belfast .
anyhow , ' is the anybody alive out there ' ..... bet he is sorry he asked that twice !!!
i actaully apologised to the guy right next to me to say ' sorry man but i'm gonna give this gig socks and sing my f****g heart out . he apologised and and said that although he was a big bruce fan and 1st time seeing him he would sit and take it all in .... HA !! my IRISH ASS !! , by the time radio nowhere finished the dude was doing an Irish Gig with me and we hav'nt even began to think about American Land yet ??!!!
i'll skip to the chase here folks but we all pretty know how intense the first 5,6,7, songs can be and wonder what will be no 8 ?? will it be a change or the the same as the most previous show . well personally i couldnt give a damn cause when one hears the opening chords to becasue the night one knows he is at a unique event . now this is where i said to myself ' woodsie boy you gotta makes some harsh decisions here ... this show is now going to have to be weighed up against belfast ?? ....... but by the time bruce and particularly nils finished the guitar work ( by the way! you could actually see bruce almost in awe at Nils guitar work ) , well i kinda knew this show was gonna come into my 2nd all time bruce event - ( slane 85 - will never ever be relplaced -- lost my bruce virginity here -- '' AND ' he '' WAS JUST 17 !!! ) where was i ?? oh yeah ..... beacuse the night into shes the one ?? ah why try explain , get the bootleg !!!
i actually thought working was the audible tonight because the band seemed to stall or something but it was a treat .
now what can i say and hold your ears here ed e but when racing in the streets was instantly recognisable by me i neary cried man . the intensity of that song live is unreal . Roy is totally amazing at this craft but he totally excelled himself on this one . its a classic that i was aching for . brilliant brillaint musicianship all round .
Next highlight for me was last to die ..... i wished for bruce classics and to me this will just go down as one . we all have our own from albums gone by, but to me this song would fit on any one of them ..... pure genius bruce - how the f**k do you do it ??
Long walk ...... probably brought out the best in the crowd ?! lights up etc... everybody in this ' big building ' singing at the top of thier voices was quite a remarkable experience to be part of i can tell you .
badlands ??? ah jesus --- where would you get it , just again totally totally amazing . crowd luuuuvved it !!!
next up? girls in their summer clothes, then Jungleland ( 2 warm songs together ? get it ?? funny bastid ) , But seriously Jungleland is poetry pepole . all the great irish poets and a yank tops them all ?? but i can live with that guys !! jungleland is a song you have to sit to, and absorb, until clarence brings you to your feet in near tears !! ah jasus it was a hightlight , one of many of the show . pure magic , excuse the pun! but clarence man i love you .
born to run is born to run , pure rock genius .... cant really say much more about this song can we ? SO AMERCIAN LAND ? my ass Bruce Springsteen is American ? IRISH IRISH he has to be !
happy xmas all and one -- love you all my friends , one and all .. Now belfast and london bootlegs for me ?and santa will really have come to town !!! roll on 2008 baby roll on !!!!!!!!

That's one hell of a recap there my friend. thanks.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!
I'll never forget Bono's comments about Bruce, right after Mr. Springsteen inducted U2 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame:
"Born in the U.S.A., my arse. That man was born on the north side of Dublin. Irish. His mother was Irish. The poetry, the gift of the gab, isn't it obvious? In fact, I think he's tall for an Irishman."
Ill have you know i was born on the northside of dublin too my friend . only 3 mins wals from mr mullen jnr !! and about 10 mins drive from tje good man Bono himself ..... i could ahve been a rock star too ya know !!!!!!
happy new year my friend !!!
