Grammys

Did anyone watch last night? Looks like our boy took home 3. Were they among the televised awards?

I didn't even know it was on until I was watching 60 Minutes and on the commercial they mentioned "the surprise opening". So of course I had to stay tuned to see who it was. Left it on but wasn't really paying attention and I'm really out of the loop on current music - not that I have any problem with that!
I don't think Bruce was there and as far as I know all categories that he was nominated for were off air.

I watched most of it, mainly to see if there were any train wrecks and I was pleasantly surprised - thought the opener was creepy to me (Alicia Keys and video of Frank Sinatra).

Tina Turner was my favorite - she moves great for a 68-year old! Amy Winehouse was great too, such a talent, a shame she has all these issues.

I don't think any of Bruce's wins were televised, but good for him!

Here are the wins:

Best Rock Song and Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance (for "Radio Nowhere"), and Best Rock Instrumental Performance (for "Once Upon A Time In The West", a track from We All Love Ennio Morricone)

Ms. Winhouse won for Best New Artist, right? So that means her 15 minutes should be just about up.

Well if she doesn't clean up and get rid of her incarcerated husband it may be but I think she's too talented for that.
