I know politics and Tim Russert and such is WAAAAAY off topic here for the most part but alas it is somewhat related. Tim was a Tramp just like us. Albeit one with a lot more access to the Boss than any of us will ever see. But when the lights went down, so to speak, we all knew how Tim felt because we were feeling much the same.
With Bruce being on tour I figured he wasn't going to be able to take part in the service but I was wrong. Live from Cologne, Germany Bruce was still able to make his presence known. It's fitting that I read in the NY Times today that he was the "final act", if you will, of yesterday's Memorial Service.
I'm sure not many at the Kennedy Center knew the words to Thunder Road but I did and you all do. So take a look and tell me what you think - the ever so slight change in the lyrics: Intentional or Mistake. Discuss.

It's amazing the links that Russert has to the Boss:
1. Booked Bruce at a show at John Carroll University for $2500 in 1974.
2. Married Maureen Orth, the author of the now infamous Newsweek Cover story from 1975.
Not sure about the change in lyrics (blame it on Ryan distracting me when we watched it live) but I thought it was awesome that Bruce was able to participate in the memorial service. What a great tribute. RIP Tim.
