Do it all over again......

It's time. Heading back!

GS #1

A little rain can't keep a good tail gate down! It was ominous to start but as always eventually the skies cleared in 5J. Well maybe not clear but the thunder and lightning stopped!
Strong home opener. Very good show with the hightlights being 10th to open, AC, Growin' Up, TOL and a stellar Jungleland.
Paul DiSturco has been chasing down ADAM for a looong time so it was nice for him to finally catch up with that one!

Another hightlight, when we got to the car the exit road was clear so we made a break for it! Got us home a little before 1am. If we hesitated it would surely have been a 3am night!

I will see you peeps again tomorrow back where it all began!

Her boardwalk life's through

Springsteen and Asbury Park's Madam Marie is dead
by The Associated Press
Tuesday July 01, 2008, 12:19 PM
Madam Marie, an Asbury Park fortune teller who was lifted from the boardwalk and into rock 'n' roll mythology by Bruce Springsteen, has died.

She was in her mid-90s.

Sally Castello tells the Asbury Park Press her great-grandmother, Madame Marie Castello, died Friday. A memorial service is Tuesday.

Castello told fortunes on the Asbury Park Boardwalk since the 1930s.

She became famous worldwide in 1973 when Bruce Springsteen paid homage to her in the song, "4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)."

His lyric, "Well, the cops finally busted Madame Marie for tellin' fortunes better than they do," cemented her fame.
